A Couple of (I think) Interesting Skulls
But of course they are all interesting aren’t they? Anyway, these two arrived in January, one from Sherry and one from another source. I meant to write about them sooner, but started having computer problems, which are hopefully solved now (fingers crossed

).
The first was a Turquoise skull pendant. It almost seemed to be shouting, “Hey!! Look at me!” I am very fond of Turquoise, and I had never seen a Turquoise skull on Sherry’s site before, so I did take a very good look. Well, of course you can guess what happened next lol - I was hooked One of the things I found interesting about it is that it is a totally different style from any of Sherry’s other skull pendants. She is somewhat larger; both size and shape are different. She is longer, slimmer, and much more of an oval shape . Her features are carved in a completely different style. There seems, to me at least, to be an Indian (Native American) look about her. I can just picture her as the old Indian grandmother, tending the cookfires and keeping an eye on the children running about. She has a somewhat stern but kind look, the perfect grandma. Also different from Sherry’s other pendants is the bail for the chain to pass through; on those, it is just a simple loop on top of the head. This skull has a thin silver wire extending from temple to temple across the top of the head, with a lovely silver link attached in the center for the chain. She is very insistent that I put her on a silver chain so that she can go out and about with me

. And one last thing which I find interesting is her choice of name. She told me her name before she even arrived, but several of my skulls have done that so that in itself was not surprising. But the name itself was. Her name is “Chula” which is Native American and means “Fox”. This is especially meaningful to me, because my totem/power animal is Fox! Also, some years ago, I lived in San Diego, California in a house which had a canyon directly behind it. It was called “Fox Canyon” so you can guess what lived there. They used to go through my yard in the evening setting out hunting and in the very early morning coming home again. Well, I didn’t mean to write a mini novel about my little Turquoise skull, but she is fascinating. How did she wind up on Sherry’s site I wonder, so different from all the others I’m glad she did though, as I wouldn’t have found her otherwise (or she wouldn’t have found me

).
The other skull is a small Apache Tear from another source. I ordered and paid for him online in the morning. Then, later in the day, I was sitting reading and left the room for a moment, leaving my book open on the table. When I came back later, there was a big wet spot like a tear stain on the page. And yet there was absolutely no liquid of any kind anywhere in the room, nothing which could conceivably have spilled - no coffee or soda or even water. When I had exhausted all logical possible probabilities, it seemed the only answer I could come up with was that it was a message from the skull as in, “Wait for me; I’m coming.” Of course, I could just be the victim of an overactive imagination - but, in that case, where did the tear stain come from??
